and software developed in-house by our design office.
Picot introduced EasyRoll in 2018.
This package is a toolkit to make bending more intuitive and efficient, based on a smart material database. This innovation, patented in late 2017, considers both the springback and the bending mode chosen by the user to obtain the desired diameter at the first attempt.*
The EasyRoll package contains five main modules that help the user learn to use the machine very quickly via an ergonomic interface.

Smart material database
SMART MATERIAL DATABASE INCLUDED IN THE PLATE BENDING MACHINE
Patented by PICOT: the machine takes the material’s mechanical properties into account.
This process was patented on 22 December 2017 (Patent No. 1763003). It was developed by combining finite element simulations with advanced algorithmic processing, and allows EasyRoll to predict the behaviour of the rolled material according to its characteristics (thickness, springback, intrinsic mechanical properties, etc.).
Integration of springback
MANUAL BENDING
Allowing for springback and real-time display of bending diameter.
When you work manually, the real-time display of the diameter guides you through the prebending and bending process. EasyRoll automatically chooses the right algorithm to fit your bending strategy so you can get the right diameter on the first try, without any corrections or prior calibration.
Programming assistant
PLATE BENDING MACHINE WITH SHAPE ASSISTANT

When you want to create a sheet bending program, once again EasyRoll will guide you through the process. Gone are the days of making many test parts before finding the right bending positions. The shape assistant invites you to draw your shape, and then it automatically writes the bending program so that you can succeed at the first attempt!*
If you are creating your parts via computer-aided design, you can also import a dot file describing the shape. EasyRoll then interprets the dots to generate the bending program.*
Tilting Assistant

Automatic prebending

You can also insert an automatic prebend into any existing program. Choose the material, thickness, and diameter. EasyRoll then updates the program for you.
